College Savings Month Recognized in North Dakota

Friday, May 29 is “529 College Savings Day” - a day that signifies the importance of saving for higher education. The date (5/29) corresponds to North Dakota’s tax-advantaged 529 college savings plans, College SAVE. The plan is one of the most popular ways for parents, grandparents, and other family and friends to save for children’s college educations.
College SAVE, its administrator Bank of North Dakota, and the Bismarck Tribune are teaming up to provide a fun-filled day at Dakota Zoo for the public. There will be free admission to Dakota Zoo from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. There also will be free hot dogs from Cloverdale Foods from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and prize giveaways at 3:30 p.m. A grand prize of $529 for college will be given away from the Bismarck Tribune.
Come to Dakota Zoo on Friday, May 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for food, fun and information about saving for the future of North Dakota’s children!Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.
